The Halley lamp is made from aluminum, zinc, and iron as the primary components of assembly with some plastic molding.
There are 16 high power LEDs and they produce the light equivalent of a 35 Watt halogen while only consuming 20 Watts of power. A Halogen version is also available, 50W
The LEDs are cooled via a fan, heater exchanger and heat pipe.
Each joint is free to rotate a full 360' degrees as there are no wires in the joints.
The manufacturing process that are used are primarily extrusions, casting, and injection molding.
The lamps are offered in two finishes, silver and black.
35" maximum reach, 40" maximum height
The LEDs life is projected as 50,000 hours at full intensity which is approx. 40 hours per week for 20 years.
The fan life is projected as 100,000 hours or double the life of the LEDs.
The lamp has a built in Dimming function on the base, all lamps will come with this feature.
There is a small transformer along the cord that converts line voltage to low voltage for the lamp.
